Have you ever wondered where the inspiration behind the tropical décor at Goldfish came from?

Simple story, actually. It was a natural evolution for Chris and Jenny, who founded Goldfish in 2006, to recreate a tropical paradise in an otherwise un-tropical location. They didn’t think twice before making the decision to cultivate Goldfish as a tropical oasis. Why? The answer might surprise you:

After Chris and Jenny got married, they traveled to Hawaii on their honeymoon. They loved how the tropical atmosphere gave them an immediate sense of relaxation and comfort. When conceptualizing Goldfish Swim School, it was a no-brainer to develop the tropical theme.

Introducing children to the water can sometimes be a stressful and anxiety-producing experience for parents and children. Chris and Jenny wanted to diffuse this as much as possible, and saw that incorporating a tropical décor proved to be the perfect buffer.

Plus, how can kids (and their parents’ inner child) resist bright and fun colors?

What do you think of the Goldfish atmosphere? Did Chris and Jenny accomplish what they set out to?
