Kids Learn Key Skills During Water Safety Awareness Week March 13-19, 2016
Do your kids know what to do when they are swimming and get too tired to continue to where they can safely touch? Do they know what to do if someone else needs help in the water? They should!
While teaching key swimming skills each week and providing extraordinary results are key components of our curriculum, Goldfish Swim School is also focused on teaching kids how to stay safe in the water (which also helps to ease your mind, mom and dad!). Although we focus on water safety during each and every lesson, we take extra time to devote more instruction on water safety four times a year.
Water Safety Awareness Week
Its that time of year again: Water Safety Awareness Week! During swim lessons the week of March 13-19, 2016, Goldfish Swim School instructors will use integrity, compassion and trust to teach little swimmers the importance of water safety (even in the winter!).

Why water safety?
Swimming isnt just about being able to swim across the pool; its about staying safe in and around the water, too. Its about being able to recognize the signs of drowning, knowing what to do to stay safe and how to prevent dry drowning.
At Goldfish Swim School, we want kids and their parents to not only feel comfortable in the water and have a GOLDEN experience, but to always feel safe in the water. By repeating water safety skills every week and drawing extra attention to water safety a few times a year, were making sure kids know instinctively what to do in potential scenarios.
Each level of classes focuses on different aspects of water safety during our Water Safety Awareness Week, depending on their age and skill level (and even babies younger than age 1 can start learning these important water safety skills!). Its just part of our commitment to providing WOW! customer service.
In addition, its especially important that kids with special needs are educated in water safety. Kids with special needs, including Down syndrome, autism, sensory issues, ADHD, issues with motor skills or other concerns can benefit from these 9 Ways Goldfish Swim School Helps Kids with Special Needs Learn to Swim, and learn how to be safe in and around the water.
