Winter is (hopefully!) in our rearview mirror, and we’re coming up on our favorite season yet – pool season! At Goldfish, we’re lucky enough to get pool season all year long, with a tropical escape that makes every day a perfect day for swimming. However, we still look forward to outdoor pool season, because it means kiddos have the opportunity to sharpen and show off their swim skills in between their weekly swim lessons! As we swim towards summer and get ready to open our outdoor pools, now is the perfect time to refresh our minds on the importance of water safety, so kiddos (and parents!) have the skills they need to be safer in and around the water – this summer and beyond!

Teaming Up with Our Friends At Poolwerx!

We are so excited to be making a splash with Poolwerx for a second year! We’re teaming up to promote another April Pools’ Day and Learn2Swim Month – two initiatives that perfectly align with our goals of spreading awareness and the importance of water safety and swim lessons. We’re just in time by starting in April, right before outdoor pools start opening in different areas around the country, and National Water Safety Month comes in May!

What is April Pools’ Day? 

So…what exactly is April Pools’ Day? This is the kickoff to a month-long initiative promoting both swim lessons and water safety – our two favorite things! Recognizing that drowning continues to be the leading cause of accidental death in children under five, we’re teaming up to spread the word and bring attention to the issue, ultimately helping to reduce childhood drownings, one swim lesson and one water safety tip at a time! Healthy Pools for Healthy People!

As you may know, while we’re teaching swim lessons, we get to be a small piece of the puzzle as parents raise their kiddos to be happy, healthy, holistic little humans. Poolwerx is swimming right alongside us, understanding that healthy people need healthy pools! Their team takes pride in striving to give their clients the best, safest swimming conditions. Nothing but the best for the kiddos in our lives! After all, their Golden Years are Here! Now is the time to be sure our kiddos are safe, learning and encouraged to think big and manifest their dreams – in and out of the pool!

While we talk about April, we can’t help but recognize how quickly the months and seasons are flying by! As excited as we are to be full swing into Spring, we know summer is right around the corner and will be here before we know it! As we get closer, now is the time to get your kiddos into swim lessons and ensure they have the skills they need to have a Safer summer!

Through our partnership with Poolwerx, we’re offering free trial lessons at participating locations (below!) to swimmers that are ready to dive into the shiver-free water, just in time to sharpen up water safety skills before outdoor pools open and summer is here! Better yet, all who sign up for a free trial lesson are entered to win an entire year of swim lessons, on us!
