Lucas R.

Assistant General Manager

Talofa! Lucas is Samoan and was born in California where he was raised by Norwegians with a pack of dogs at home. He loves a good story, everything from comic books to classic novels, TV shows to movies. He especially loves to create stories. Lucas likes to draw, write, and play music, especially his tenor saxophone. You can usually find Lucas doing one of the above if he’s not working hard at Goldfish.

Anna T.

Assistant General Manager

Anna’s love of swimming started at age 7 when she joined summer swim team. Her favorite race was IM because you get to do a little bit of everything! She loves teaching swimming because she gets to work with kids and see them conquer their fears and develop life saving skills. Anna’s favorite month is September because that’s when we celebrate pirates and princesses.

Cat J.

Safety and Lesson Quality Coordinator

This is Cat. She has worked at Goldfish since 2021 and is currently in charge of safety and lesson quality here at Goldfish – Falls Church. She started at Goldfish because of her interest in education, which she is currently majoring in. Some fun facts are that her favorite princess is Ariel, and she loves reading mystery books. 

Tommy H.

Regional Manager

Tommy was born and raised in the great state of Michigan, so you can sure bet your two cents that he is a die hard Lions, Wings, and Tigers fan. He moved to Northern Virginia in September of 2014 to help open Goldfish Swim School of Reston. Tommy graduated from Grand Valley State Univeristy with a bachelors in Marketing. When he is not at Goldfish you can find him on the ice playing hockey or on the golf course working on his game. Tommy enjoys seeing the excitement on the children’s faces as they learn a life changing skill. Tommy is looking forward to delivering a Golden experience to the families of Falls Church, Alexandria, Arlington and the D.C. area.

Adem

Swim Instructor

Mr. Adem loves teaching kids how to swim! His favorite stroke to teach is freestyle. In his free time Mr. Adem loves to read and watch movies. His favorite movie is Finding Nemo.

Alex

Swim Instructor

Hello! This is Ms. Alex! She goes to George Washington University in D.C. and her favorite thing to do is watch old films and comedy shows. Her favorite place to visit is Oman because of its beautiful beaches and marvelous mountains! She is so excited to see her swimmers in class.

Amanda

Swim Instructor

This is Ms. Amanda W! Her favorite movie is Lady Bird and her favorite swimming stroke is breaststroke. When she isn’t at goldfish you can find Ms. Amanda taking care of her plants or listening to her fave, Taylor Swift! She loves to perform and loves musical theatre.

Angie

This is Ms. Angie! If she had to pick a favorite movie it would have to be Ponyo. Her favorite color is pink, and she loves to spend time outside during her favorite season summer! A fun fact about Ms. Angie is that she plays the cello!

Ashley

Say hello to Ms. Ashley! Her favorite color is pink, and her favorite Disney movie is Mulan. When she grows up, she wants to be a fashion designer. When Ashley is not swimming, she loves to row!

Austin

Swim Instructor

Austin loves all 4 swim strokes, but his favorite is butterfly. He loves staying active, with tennis and football being his favorite sports. You can ask him about his favorite football team, the Washington Commanders.

Ben

Swim Instructor

Mr. Benjamin loves listening to all kinds of music, especially fantasy music. He loves to swim backstroke, and his favorite sea creature is a turtles. Next time you see Mr. Benjamin, ask what his favorite song is for that day.

Billy

Hi! My name is William, but I prefer to be called Billy. My favorite movie is “Peanut Butter Falcon” and my dream is to become a film writer. I’m excited to swim with you!

Brandi

Swim Instructor

This is Ms. Brandi! Her favorite color is blue, and she loves to travel! She loves to travel to the beach so much that she even has a beach themed bedroom! Ms. Brandi has a mini golden doodle named Ariel, and she is two years old. When she isn’t at Goldfish you can find her spending time playing with Ariel.

Daniel

Meet Daniel! His favorite show is the Truman show. He is pretty good at playing piano and he loves music! He loves to swim and his favorite fish is a shark!

Diana

Hi! My name is Diana. I am in highschool and I love participating in student government. My favorite color is pink and I love to watch movies. My favorite princess is Moana because she loves the ocean just like me.

Franny

Franny’s favorite colors are blue and purple, and her favorite Disney movie is Tangled. When she’s not at Goldfish she’s hanging out with her friends or listening to music.

Hello! This is Ms. Gabrielle! You can call her Gabby. Her favorite color is blue, and during the summer she loves hanging out and spending time outdoors. Ms. Gabby loves colors and loves trying out new colors on her nails!

Gideon

Say hello to Mr. Gideon! Fun fact about him is he is one of six siblings in his family! His favorite color is purple, and he loves relaxing at the end of a long day of teaching swim lessons. Mr. Gideon’s favorite sport is Ninpo-ka or Taijutsu!

Hello! Meet Ingrid. Her favorite movie is Moana because she loves Hay Hay. Her favorite color is blue just like the ocean. When she’s not teaching swimming, Ms. Ingrid loves to go on walks with her dogs. Be sure to give her a big high five next time you see her. 

Isaac

Say hi to Isaac. Isaac loves music, and in his free time he plays the guitar. His favorite color is blue because it reminds him of the ocean. He is a student at GMU. Next time you see him tell him your favorite fish!

This is Mr. Jack! His favorite color is yellow, and his favorite food is French fries. When he isn’t at Goldfish you can find Mr. Jack playing lacrosse or video games!

Jeferson

This is Mr. Jeferson! He loves to have fun in the pool and spend time getting to know his swimmers. When he isn’t at Goldfish, you can find Mr. Jeferson playing games and hanging out with his friends. Make sure to say hi to him the next time you see him in the pool!

This is Ms Kaya! Her favorite color is blue, and her favorite Disney movie is Frozen. She loves Olaf! Ms Kaya loves to eat sushi!

Say hello to Mr. Keegan! Keegan loves watching movies, but his favorite has to be Wall-E! Keegan’s favorite color is purple. When he’s not at the pool, he loves to draw.

Liban

Meet Liban! His favorite season is summer because he gets to swim outside. Mr. Liban loves to teach swimming because he loves to help kids become safer in the water. His favorite sea creature is an octopus. In his free time he likes to play basketball.

Marley

Mx. Marley loves dragons, and has two cats at home. When they’re not at Goldfish, they like writing and making stuffed animals. Their favorite part of swimming is water safety techniques!

Meet Ms. Melanie! Her favorite color is pink, and her favorite fish is an octopus. In her free time she loves to swim and go shopping. Make sure you give her a big high five next time you see her!

Hello! This is Ms. Renatta! She is so excited to be your swim teacher! Her favorite colors are blue and red. In her free time she likes watching funny movies and dancing ballet. She also speaks two languages (English and Spanish). Next time you see Ms. Renatta make sure you say “Hola mi amiga!”

Ms. Sophia’s favorite color is red. She has been a competitive swimmer for over a decade, and her favorite stroke is backstroke. Her favorite country to visit is Spain!
