Leave a ReviewWe loved Allison the instructor. She was warm, engaging, creative and resourceful. She had many different props and games, and used age appropriate tone, exercises and engagement.

Goldfish swim school of New Rochelle is such a great place to enroll your child to not only keep them active but learn water safety skills. The staff is kind and always so welcoming. My baby has gone since he was 6 months old and his progress continues to shine.

Seeing my son swim brings me joy, always. I love the transformation my son has been through from day to now in the water. The instructors are amazing. I believe they actually love what they do by teaching the kids how to swim. My only concern is that, the 4:1 ratio of students to Instructor needs to be looked at. I think the students need more time in the water to improve their skills. Thanks guys.

My 3 year daughter started here in 2024. She had a wonderful start with her instructor, Jenny. I agreed to pay for 6 months in advance with lessons once weekly which, ultimately, knocked off a couple hundred dollars and had some membership highlights etc. Jenny was out one day and we had a substitute instructor that day who clearly did not have any idea of where my daughter was swimming experience and instructed / pushed my daughter to do way more than she was trained to. My daughter was not yet trained or nearly ready to float but was instructed to do so where she was CLEARLY strained causing her to become very upset. This type of behavior continued on during the lesson with other techniques. Again, my child was not yet at all trained to do these things and the instructor not only expected her to but didn’t pick up on the struggle queues. I had to end the lessons much earlier than expected as I became uncomfortable. This experience caused a serious water aversion where my daughter refused to swim, even when given the opportunity to go tandem with an instructor or with me standing in the pool area. There was even a point where she missed a few classes due to an injury and she had no issue upon her return. I called multiple times asking to if there was any way we could freeze our membership to allow us to work through this aversion and was simply told “No” and that I would essentially lose the money id prepaid for 6 months worth of classes. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told even if I spoke to a supervisor, I would not be able to freeze my membership and would simply have to cancel with no financial reimbursement. Which is not what I asked for. I did not want money back, I wanted to continue my relationship and courses but needed assistance in managing my daughters aversion and thought it would be next to give her time without losing classes I’d paid for. I was met with a brick wall and from a very pompous person on the phone all three times I called. After deciding to send them an email outlining these details, they had a floor representative call and text me asking for me to call back and at that point, I was completely turned off in their lack of understanding and circumstance resolution practices. The call came after one month of this situation.
