Very disappointing experience with Goldfish Swim School in Lewis Center. The biggest issue is their shady cancellation process. At the end of January, someone from their team called us and asked if we planned to renew. We clearly said no, we did not want to renew and wanted to stop the lessons. They mentioned we had makeup classes but said we wouldn't be able to use them if we didn't renew. Even after hearing that, we still confirmed that we were not continuing. At no point during that call did anyone mention a withdrawal form. Despite that, we were later charged two additional months: $260 and $325, even though we had already said we were not renewing. When we called to ask why, we were told that we were required to submit a withdrawal form 30 days in advance. Again, this was never mentioned during the phone call. The worst part is that this form is basically hidden. You can do everything on their website like scheduling classes and making payments, but when it comes to cancelling, suddenly the form is nowhere to be found. I spent over an hour searching their portal and website and could not find it. The only link I eventually found online required a paid PDF filler subscription just to complete the form. That feels extremely deceptive and makes it seem like the system is designed to keep charging customers unless they dig through hidden steps to cancel. I also spoke with Lacy (the manager) about this, and she was not helpful at all. She kept repeating that we should have submitted the withdrawal form and showed no interest in understanding the situation or resolving it. There was zero concern for customer satisfaction, only continuing to charge for services we were not using. On top of that, the facility itself does not look very clean or well maintained. The dryers frequently don't work, the showers smell, and lights in the changing area are broken. It doesn't give a very professional impression. Most of the instructors also appear to be very young and inexperienced, which raises concerns about the quality of instruction. Overall, this place feels like it's focused on squeezing every dollar out of families rather than providing a good experience. I would strongly recommend looking for another swim school if you want transparent policies and better customer service.
