Kate S.

Regional Manager

Kate has worked in aquatics since 2007 and was an Ellis Lifeguard Instructor for 8 years. She has been with Goldfish since 2014! She grew up in Grove City, Ohio and graduated from Otterbein University with a degree in Vocal Performance. She is passionate about working with children and sharing drowning prevention. Kate has an amazing husband and two daughters, Lydia and Naomi, and a son, James!

Mackenzie Colgan

General Manager

Mackenzie has just recently moved back to Ohio after living in Illinois the past few years. She grew up in the Columbus area and is excited to be back. She is mom to one little boy and loves being around children. She spends her time outside of work and family cycling, kickboxing, or playing piano. She spent 5 years in the swim school industry before moving to Illinois and is excited to be coming back to the swim school setting with Goldfish!

I am a graduate of Westerville Central High School, where I also attended the Delaware Area Career Center (DACC) with a focus on Fire and EMS studies. Since 2021, I have been a team member at Goldfish Swim School, where I combine my passion for water safety with a commitment to preparing the next generation of lifeguards. With a strong foundation in emergency response and aquatic instruction, I take pride in fostering a safe, fun, and educational environment for all swimmers. My experience has deepened my appreciation for teamwork, leadership, and the importance of early water safety education. Outside of work, I enjoy collecting Pokémon and sports cards and I also enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends.
