We have been attending Goldfish Tacoma since they opened at the beginning January and have had nothing but wonderful experiences each and every week! As a family who used to attend a different Goldfish location, our expectations were really high and this new location does not disappoint! The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, the facilities are spotless and well-provisioned for families with young children, and our kids’ instructors are amazing, always working to build a solid rapport with them at the beginning of each lesson and showing patience throughout every lesson. Our favorite part about Goldfish is their focus and attention on swim techniques. Kids don’t “move up” until the coaches know that they can confidently complete a specific set of skills. Since we started at Goldfish Tacoma, our son has already made major improvements in his treading - now able to hold himself above the water to tread for close to 45 seconds without throwing his head back to stay afloat. Our daughter has made significant improvements with her butterfly stroke/ dolphin kick as well as learning to pace herself better as she swims the full length of the pool. As a family who has worked their way through the Goldfish curriculum since our son started in Junior 1 and our daughter in Glider 2, I can honestly say that this is fast skill development and a true testament to the coaching at Goldfish Tacoma. We are so grateful to have such quality swim instruction close to where we live!

This place has been amazing for our son. His pediatrician recommended swim for anxiety and we trek from Suffolk all the way out here and it’s worth it. His instructor, Brycen, has brought him out of his shell and got him not only comfortable, but talkative and excited. We can’t say enough good things about Bryson! He is an absolute rockstar swim instructor. He took our daughter from Glider 2 to Glider 3 and all the way to Pro 1, and the progress she made was truly next level. Bryson has an incredible eye for spotting weaknesses and knows exactly how to adjust his teaching style so things really click. He keeps the lessons fun, high-energy, and motivating, with plenty of humor along the way. Our daughter looked forward to every lesson and gained so much confidence in the water. If you’re looking for an instructor who gets real results and makes it fun, Bryson is the one!
