Leave a ReviewThe facility is clean and well-maintained, and the staff are very friendly. My only concern is that the lifeguard should be positioned behind the children during the Mini 3 classes to ensure they keep their backs against the wall, rather than sitting across the pool. This was standard practice at the other Goldfish location we attended. During my daughter’s last class, she almost fell in, so closer supervision would be greatly appreciated.

The facility is nice and clean, the staff are friendly. My only complaint is the life guard really needs to stand behind the kids and instruct them to have their backs against the wall during the mini 3 classes rather than sitting half way across from where they are on the opposite side of the pool. This is standard practice in the other goldfish location we came from. My daughter almost fell in during her last class.

The instructors are all great. The place used to be very well kept but in the last 2 months it has gone drastically downhill involving maintenance. Management needs to do better especially because it's an environment full of children.

Conveniently located the N train and on the corner of the block, large sized pool and excellent teachers. Highly recommend Salma, Tito, Aaryn and Jenny! They are very patient and encouraging. Overall, it is a well-run branch and credit goes to them for teaching our little one to enjoy swimming rather than fear it. One area for improvement is to keep the changing rooms and bathrooms dry and clean, especially during busy hours. The common areas become wet and littered quite quickly.

Goldfish has the best facilities, everything is new, clean and well thought for swimming classes for the little ones, the pool water is warm. The staff is friendly, unfortunately we felt the instructors are mostly teenagers that lack experience and training. And the best of the facilities and friendliness cannot make up for experience, knowledge and vocation.

Attended 3 year old’s birthday party here. While the party was great, unfortunately one lifeguard was not. I watched her hit my 6 year old son with her rescue device on the back of his head while he was swimming in the pool. When I asked why she said it was because he went underwater for longer than 5 seconds which is “against their rules.” My son is an excellent swimmer and on a competitive swimming team. He exited the pool crying. He was never in distress. I spoke to the manager who both said she had every right to hit him because he was underwater too long and that wasn’t allowed. PLEASE do not attend a party here or any sort of open swim at risk of your child being hit by an employee. (And yes I gave this place two stars because the other lifeguard was wonderful and very sweet and engaging with the children.) UPDATE AFTER SEEING THE SCHOOL’S REPLY: Hitting a child’s head is NEVER okay. If he needed a rescue someone should have jumped in, but he didn’t. The lifeguard was simply in a bad mood and took it out on him. Do better Goldfish. These are CHILDREN.

they do not answer their phone for any reason. Completely unacceptable to not have someone tending the front desk.

I had a good experience until we were not allowed to use our makeup class and were denied a refund for that class. None of the staff made us aware that we had to use our makeup class before our paid classes were over. I tried to use the make up a week after classes were done and the only solution that was provided to me was to pay for more classes so I could use the makeup class. The manager was rude and dismissive and I still have not received the refund I requested. They basically stole for me.

I wanted to share my experience, which echoes what other parents have mentioned here. My child, along with another, was forced to wait while another student swam. I wish Goldfish would be upfront and state that your child may spend 20 minutes sitting on the edge and only receive about 10 minutes of actual swim time with the instructor. Unfortunately, because of this, I’ll be finding a new swim school for my child, as it feels like both I and other parents are not getting the value we’re paying for.
