Do you have a little swim pro in your midst? Goldfish Swim School – West Linn also offers a more advanced childrens swim class for those between the ages of 4 and 12 who have a good deal of experience in the water. Also check out our full range of swim lessons to find the best fit for your child’s current swimming skill set!
Like our other classes, our Pro kids swimming lessons are broken down into two levels based on the extent of experience the child has. We limit these 30-minute swimming sessions to a maximum of four students per swim instructor to ensure each child gets the attention they need to become pros in the pool! Among the offerings at Goldfish, these are more advanced swim classes where students have acquired some knowledge of swim strokes and are ready to develop them further.
In these advanced classes, swimmers work on perfecting their freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly techniques while learning competitive elements like flip turns and racing starts. Our experienced instructors emphasize proper body positioning, efficient breathing, and stroke rhythm to help swimmers move through the water with greater power and precision. Beyond physical skills, we also teach advanced water safety concepts and rescue techniques that build confidence in more challenging aquatic situations.
Our Pro program features two distinct levels tailored to different experience levels. Pro 1 is designed for swimmers who can comfortably perform freestyle and backstroke but need to improve their technique, breathing, and stamina. Pro 2 challenges more advanced swimmers to perfect all four competitive strokes while increasing their speed and endurance. Each 30-minute session maintains our signature small class size of just four students per instructor, ensuring personalized attention for every young athlete.
