Goldfish Swim School is proud to be recognized on The Franchise Times Top 200+®, a prestigious ranking of the 500 largest U.S.-based franchise brands. This annual list is the only one of its scope that ranks by global system-wide sales, based on the previous year’s performance. With global sales of $146 million, our swim school franchise came in at number 291 on this year’s list. We rose 32 spots above last year’s ranking thanks to steady growth, an in-demand service, and franchisees who believe in our philosophy.

How the Top 500 Franchises Are Ranked

Franchise Times spends five months researching and updating its numbers every year, using voluntary financial reporting from the franchise brands along with publicly available data. Systemwide sales revenue comprises the total sales to customers for both franchise and company units. It does not include franchising fees or royalties. Qualifying franchise brands must be legal U.S. franchises, with at least 15% of the brand’s total units owned by franchisees and at least 10% of total units located within the U.S.

Personal Service Brands Show Strong Performance

Along with its complete ranking, Franchise Times provided some insight and analysis of the top 200. Personal service franchise brands reflected the best-performing category, with sales growing by 11.4%, and topping $19 billion. As a franchise brands offering personal services, our swimming schools are poised for continued growth.
